The Magical Mermaid
As many parents know, mermaid parties are a big deal right
now. This cute sparkling balloon will really help you bring your amazing theme
to life. Now all you need is a colorful costume and the Little Mermaid
soundtrack and you're ready to party!
How to make your balloon
You need:
• A simple foil balloon in the color of your choice
• This handy glue stick
• Balloon glitter - and yes, we really mean “balloon
glitter”. Regular glitter is too heavy for this job and will prevent your
balloon from staying in the air.
How it works:
1. Place a few sheets of newspaper over a large table. There
will be a lot of glitter flying around so cleaning up will be a lot faster!
2. Lay your balloon flat on the table. We recommend
decorating the balloon before inflating it - it's just easier that way!
3. If you are using one of our specially made templates,
print it out and cut out the shapes. Remember, you want to keep the large piece
of paper and remove the cut out parts!
4. Press your mermaid stencil over the balloon and spread
the glue over the exposed area of the balloon. Make sure no glue sneaks under
your stencil or you will end up with a wobbly mermaid!
5. Remove the template and sprinkle your balloon glitter
over the glue.
6. Let it dry and carefully pick up your balloon so that
excess glitter falls on the table.
7. it’s time to inflate! If your balloon needs helium, you
can find it here.
This guide works for all of the balloon designs we looked at
here. If you're not using a template, just peel the glue straight on!
The Mystical Unicorn
Like mermaids, unicorns are a popular choice when it comes
to party themes for kids. This colorful creature works best in a white foil
balloon. But you can also use pinkish if you feel like it!
As you can see, it is quite a detailed design. So, with this
unicorn template, you can make everything look perfect. If someone asks you can
just pretend you drew it yourself!
The ‘Yay’ For Your Special Day
Do you have a special message that you would like to write
on your balloon? Of course, there are a lot of different things to say, but
we've kept it pretty simple here and gone with "yay". We think it
works for most parties!
Of course, when it comes to words, you can write them
freehand with a glue stick. However, if you're not a fan of your handwriting,
here's a little template you can use.
